Theotokos with ChristAs we rise from sleep, we thank You, O Holy Trinity, for through Your great goodness and patience You were not angry with us, idlers and sinners, nor have You destroyed us with our iniquities, but have shown Your usual love for mankind; and when we were prostrate in despair, You have raised us up to keep the morning watch and glorify Your power. And now enlighten our mind’s eye, and open our mouth that we may meditate on Your words, and understand Your commandments, and do Your will, and hymn You in heartfelt confession, and sing praises to Your all-holy name: of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
